Nghe An provincial leaders work with Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation
This morning, September 28, leaders of Nghe An province had a working session with leaders of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation at the Corporation's headquarters on the implementation of Vicem Dong Hoi Port Project, Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory Project and a number of other projects that the Corporation invested in Nghe An province.
(Baonghean) -This morning, September 28, leaders of Nghe An province had a working session with leaders of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation at the Corporation's headquarters on the implementation of Vicem Dong Hoi Port Project, Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory Project and a number of other projects that the Corporation invested in Nghe An province.
Attending the working session, on the side of Nghe An province were comrades: Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches. On the side of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation, there were Mr. Le Van Chung - Chairman of the Board of Members; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - General Director and a number of leaders of the Corporation.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues related to projects invested by Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation in Nghe An: Vicem Dong Hoi Port including port items 1,2,3,4,5 approved by the Ministry of Transport for detailed planning. The Dong Hoi Non-Fired Construction Materials Factory has been started in Dong Hoi - Hoang Mai Industrial Park. Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory has a capacity of 4.5 million tons/year (in the cement planning approved by the Prime Minister) and the Vicem Urban Area Project in Nghi Duc Commune - Vinh City.
The two sides agreed that the Vicem Dong Hoi Port Project would carry out relevant investment activities by 2012. It is expected to be operational by 2015. The Non-Fire Construction Materials Factory Project has commenced construction. The People's Committee of Nghe An province has committed to directing Quynh Luu district to speed up site clearance so that the investor can carry out construction of the items. The Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory Project will select a location, carry out relevant investment activities, and by 2014, the factory will be invested in and soon put into production. The Vicem Urban Area Project in Nghi Duc commune - Vinh city is carrying out site clearance compensation for early implementation.
The two sides also committed that Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation will speed up the construction progress of the items to ensure the progress and quality of the works. Nghe An province will create all favorable conditions, synchronously implement solutions on administrative and legal procedures, site clearance and infrastructure so that investors can actively implement the construction of projects to soon come into operation.
It is expected that on October 17, 2011, Nghe An province and Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the construction of Vicem Dong Hoi Port and Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory. Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation will support Nghe An province with 1 billion VND to build houses for poor households in the province.
