As part of Project 816H, on September 16, 2016, Que Phong District Police discovered 02 subjects carrying heroin infiltrating from the Lao border into the mountainous forest area of ​​Thong Thu Commune, Que Phong District. The Project Board deployed forces to capture the above subjects, when suddenly another subject appeared and used an AK gun to shoot directly at the capture force, causing Lieutenant Le Van Tuan, an officer of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug Crimes of Que Phong District Police, to be hit by 02 bullets in the buttocks and left thigh.

Despite being injured, with a brave spirit and determination to attack the criminals to the end, comrade Tuan held on to one subject until his teammates assisted in arresting him; the task force continued to surround and capture one more subject, but the subject who used an AK gun to attack the arresting force escaped to the border area. Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police have initiated a case and are continuing to coordinate with other authorities to capture the fugitive subject.

Immediately after the incident, Que Phong District Police coordinated with Que Phong District General Hospital, Nghe An Provincial General Hospital, and the Provincial Police to provide first aid and take comrade Tuan to Viet Duc Hospital for emergency treatment. Currently, after receiving emergency surgery and timely treatment from Viet Duc Hospital, comrade Tuan has gradually recovered.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai wished Lieutenant Le Van Tuan a quick recovery so he could return to his unit to continue working.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Xuan Dai encouraged, visited and presented 20 million VND from the provincial People's Committee to support treatment for comrade Tuan and wished comrade Tuan a quick recovery so that he could return to his unit to continue working. He also praised the brave spirit of fighting against drug crimes of the officers and soldiers of Que Phong District Police who always excellently completed their assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the officers and soldiers of Que Phong District Police also donated 31 million VND to support Lieutenant Le Van Tuan.
