Vietnamese leaders send congratulatory message on 38th anniversary of Laos National Day
On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2013), on December 1, Vietnamese leaders sent congratulatory messages to Lao leaders.

The telegram was sent by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung to Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and Ms. Pany Yathotou, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The telegram reads: "We are extremely pleased to note that over the past 38 years, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, with patriotism and a steadfast revolutionary tradition, the Lao people have achieved many great victories in the cause of defending and building the Fatherland: political security has been maintained, the economy has continuously developed at a high speed, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved.
Over the past year, Laos continued to successfully organize many important foreign affairs events such as the CLMV 6, ACMECS 5, CLV 7 and other related conferences, contributing to enhancing the role and position of Laos in the region and the world.
We are also extremely pleased and proud to see that the great friendship, special solidarity, loyalty, purity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and Peoples of Vietnam and Laos, which was cultivated by the great President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and generations of leaders of the two countries, has been constantly consolidated and developed, becoming a priceless asset for future generations of the people of the two countries."
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Subcommittee Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a congratulatory message to Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Subcommittee Somsavat Lengsavad; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh and Head of the Central External Relations Commission Hoang Binh Quan also sent congratulatory messages to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Central External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongloun Sisoulith./.
