A car crashed into pedestrians in Melbourne, Australia's second largest city, injuring at least 14 people.
A car ran a red light at the intersection of Elizabeth and Flinders streets in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, at 4:30 p.m. today and hit several pedestrians, witnesses told 3AW. The accident injured at least 14 people. Melbourne police said they had arrested the driver and another person.
Images from the scene showed several people lying on the ground next to a white vehicle.

"Based on what we have witnessed, we believe this was a deliberate act," said Russell Barrett, commander of Victoria state police./.
