Boat capsizes, 400 migrants die in Mediterranean
About 400 migrants are believed to have died after their boat capsized in the Mediterranean while trying to reach Italy from North Africa.

According to Italy's RAI television channel, at least four capsized boats have been found in Egypt. The victims in this incident were mainly Somalis, Eritreans, and Ethiopians trying to cross the Mediterranean to Italy. Meanwhile, Egyptian media reported that many boats were found capsized in the country's waters and the number of victims in the above tragedy could be up to 400 people.
Rescue workers from several countries near the accident site are reportedly trying to rescue the victims. Earlier, on March 19, the Italian coast guard rescued more than 900 migrants in the Strait of Sicily. In addition, Libyan authorities rescued nearly 600 migrants from four boats off the coast of the country.
