"I don't have details about the specific contract process. But we are in the process of purchasing the system," Sputnik quoted a representative of the US Department of Defense as saying.
Earlier, the US announced the allocation of a new military aid package worth 820 million USD to Ukraine, including providing additional ammunition for the HIMARS MLRS, 2 Norwegian NASAMS air defense missile systems, nearly 150,000 150 mm artillery shells, and 4 jet radars.
On Friday, in a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: The West's provision of weapons to Ukraine only prolongs the conflict, prolongs the suffering of the Kiev regime and causes more victims.
