Seeking feedback on the Draft Law on Health Insurance

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of February 28th, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a conference to provide feedback on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Health Insurance Law. Comrade Pham Van Tan - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - chaired the conference.

Overview of the conference

At the conference, delegates contributed many ideas to supplement and refine the draft to be submitted to the National Assembly, focusing on issues such as: the principles of health insurance; eligible participants, contribution levels and responsibilities for health insurance contributions, and payment methods; levels of benefits and exclusions from health insurance; payment for medical examinations and treatment; management of the Health Insurance Fund; responsibilities of health insurance medical examination and treatment facilities; and handling of violations.

In addition, many suggestions were made regarding specific provisions, such as removing the requirement that family members must live in the same area to purchase health insurance; not guaranteeing 100% coverage of medical examination and treatment costs for near-poor individuals to avoid abuse of health insurance; and increasing the continuous health insurance participation period from 3 years to 5 years to receive 100% coverage of medical examination and treatment costs…

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Van Tan acknowledged the contributions of the delegates, and stated that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation would compile them to present to the National Assembly in the upcoming session.
