Consulting the people on the Draft Civil Code
According to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the period for collecting public opinions on the draft Civil Code (amended) begins on January 5, 2015 and ends on April 5, 2015.

According to Resolution No. 857/NQ-UBTVQH13 dated December 25, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the purpose of organizing the collection of public opinions on the draft Civil Code (amended) is to promote the right to mastery, mobilize the people's intelligence in contributing opinions to the content of the draft Civil Code (amended), ensure the concretization of the provisions of the Constitution on recognizing, respecting, protecting and ensuring human rights, civil rights, contributing to perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution, stabilizing the legal environment for the socio-economic development of the country and the people's lives.
The requirements for organizing public opinion gathering include: (1) Organizing public opinion gathering in appropriate forms, creating favorable conditions for all levels of the people to contribute their opinions to the draft Civil Code (amended). Organizing public opinion gathering must be conducted widely, scientifically, publicly, ensuring progress, quality, practicality and economy. (2) Public opinions must be fully and accurately synthesized and seriously studied, accepted and explained to complete the draft Civil Code (amended).
(3) Ensure the leadership of Party committees at all levels, close direction of authorities at all levels, and promote the responsibility of heads of agencies and organizations in collecting public opinions.
Resolution assigning the Government to organize the collection of public opinions on the draft Civil Code (amended) which has been revised on the basis of absorbing the opinions of National Assembly deputies at the 8th session of the 13th National Assembly.
The period for collecting public opinions on the draft Civil Code (amended) begins on January 5, 2015 and ends on April 5, 2015.
After the prescribed deadline, organizations and individuals who continue to provide comments on the Draft Civil Code (amended) must send them to the Ministry of Justice before September 20, 2015 at 60 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi or via email:[email protected].
People's comments will be seriously studied and absorbed to revise the draft Civil Code (amended) to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
