Lazio 1-2 Juventus: Pirlo shines, Juve wins Italian Cup, waiting to beat Barca to 'treble'
Two goals from Chiellini and Matri helped Juventus come from behind to defeat Lazio 2-1 in the Italian National Cup Final in the early morning of May 21, 2015.
With home advantage, Lazio started very well with an early goal from Stefan Daniel Radu's header. But not long after, Giorgio Chiellini scored a beautiful overhead kick from Patrice Evra's tactical header, leveling the score for Juventus.
The two teams were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes and were forced into extra time. The home fans held their heads in regret after a long-range shot from 20 meters away by substitute Filip Djordjevic hit both posts of the Juventus goal in the first minutes of extra time.

And just a few minutes later, in the 97th minute, Lazio paid the price when Alessandro Matri, also a substitute, received the ball that bounced off the Lazio defender's foot after Tevez's previous shot, and finished it off the hand of goalkeeper Etrit Berisha into the net, bringing a 2-1 victory for Juve.
Lazio were much tighter than they had been in their two Serie A defeats to Juve this season. Stefano Pioli's side pressed hard and always had six or seven players around and in the box to protect Berisha's goal. They were unlucky when Djordjevic hit the woodwork in extra time.
On Juventus' side, Paul Pogba played poorly in the match where he seemed to avoid contact and almost made Juve pay with a bad ball control at the end of the first half, creating an opportunity for Parolo to shoot past the post of Marco Storari's goal. Arturo Vidal was fiery, going up and down like a shuttle, sweeping tirelessly.
Andrea Pirlo shone brightly, participating in both goals for his team (the free kick that led to Chiellini's equalizer and the long pass that led to Matri's winner). At the end of the second half, Pirlo passed to Matri who finished the shot into the Lazio net but the referee ruled it offside.
Juventus have won their 10th Coppa Italia, the most of any Italian club, and their second this season (after the Serie A title). Coach Marcello Lippi was present in the stands at the Olimpico Stadium this morning and witnessed history repeated after 20 years. He led Juve to win the double of the League and the Coppa Italia in his first season in charge at the age of 47. 20 years later, Max Allegri also led Juve to the Coppa Italia and won the Coppa Italia in his first season at the age of 47.
The domestic double is done. New signing Paulo Dybala is on the way. Now Juve turn to Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez for the Champions League final in Berlin on June 7, and the legendary "treble".
