Joachim Loew will continue to be with the German national team
“The contract extension has gone well. Joachim Loew will continue to lead the German national team at Euro 2012 in Poland and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil,” the German Football Association said in a statement.
Coach Joachim Loew himself also expressed his excitement after completing the contract extension: "In the past time, the cooperation between me and the Federation has been quite good. Any problems that have arisen have been resolved satisfactorily by both sides. I have a group of talented young players in my hands, who can shine at Euro 2012 and will continue to improve before going to Brazil to attend the 2014 World Cup."
Joachim Loew has been the captain of the German national team since 2006. The 51-year-old helped the "Tanks" win third place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
