(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of January 11, at the Martyrs Cemetery of Do Luong district, a burial ceremony was held for the remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Laos.
Attending the ceremony were delegations of the Government's Special Working Group and the Ministry of National Defense led by Colonel Tran Quoc Dung - Deputy Director General of the Policy Department - Ministry of National Defense; delegations of the Lao Government's Special Working Group and the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane led by comrade Khanxavoi Xinthanuxay; delegations of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front led by comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; delegations of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; delegations of the Military Region 4 Command; and provincial departments, branches and sectors, along with leaders of Do Luong district, and a large number of people from Da Son and Do Luong communes.

During this period, Nghe An province received 57 sets of remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and performed noble international duties in Laos. Of these, 47 sets of remains were found in Xieng Khouang province and 10 sets of remains in Vientiane province. The remains of the martyrs were brought back to Vietnam by the first batch of martyrs' grave collection groups, dry season 2013-2014.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the armed forces and people of the province, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his sincere remembrance and infinite gratitude for the contributions of the heroic martyrs, those who sacrificed their lives to protect the independence and freedom of the two countries of Vietnam and Laos. At the same time, he thanked the dedicated cooperation and assistance of the leaders and the Special Working Group of the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane and the people of the Lao ethnic groups, who helped the Nghe An Provincial Reunification Delegation complete its assigned tasks. The government and people of Nghe An province will continue to uphold and promote the heroic revolutionary tradition, determined to build Nghe An province to become increasingly prosperous and strong; fostering the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos to become more and more sustainable and steadfast.
