(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, January 6, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Do Luong district, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Party Committee and people of Do Luong district, on behalf of the people of the whole country, solemnly held a burial ceremony for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the first phase of 2012.

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, January 6, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Do Luong district, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Party Committee and people of Do Luong district, on behalf of the people of the whole country, solemnly held a burial ceremony for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the first phase of 2012.

Attending the funeral were comrade Bui Hong Linh - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Colonel Nguyen Viet Dinh - Deputy Director of the Policy Department, Ministry of National Defense; Major General Vo Van Viet - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4; comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Mr. BunMi Phuttavong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Governor of Vientiane Province; Mr. ThongChit Phangxevang, Deputy Governor of Vientiane Province; Colonel Nguyen Sy Hoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of departments and branches in the province, leaders of Do Luong district, relatives of martyrs and a large number of people and students of Do Luong district.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee read the eulogy in memory of the heroic martyrs.

Sharing the joy of reunion in tears with the families of martyrs

After 3 months of Phase 1 of the 2011-2012 dry season, the delegation of Nghe An province's martyrs' graves collection overcame many difficulties, closely coordinated with all levels, sectors and localities of the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic, to search, collect and move 140 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane back to Vietnam. Of these 140 martyrs, 26 had their names, ages and hometowns clearly identified; 02 martyrs were directly brought back to their hometowns by their relatives for burial and the remaining 138 martyrs were buried at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Do Luong district.

At the ceremony, delegations from the Ministry of National Defense; Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Military Region 4 Command; Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard Command; Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Provincial departments and branches; Do Luong district respectfully offered incense and flowers. The eulogy in memory of the heroic martyrs of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed their lives in the Lao People's Democratic Republic presented by comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Special Working Group of Nghe An province expressed respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the noble international duty. We promise before the souls of martyrs that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province will always unite, try and strive to build our homeland province to become increasingly prosperous, actively contribute to the overall development of the country, worthy of the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.
