Flag-raising ceremony on the first day of Tet
(Baonghean.vn) -The first day of the Lunar New Year (also known as Tet Ca, Tet Ta, Lunar New Year, Traditional New Year, New Year or simply Tet) is the most important holiday in the culture of the Vietnamese people and some other ethnic groups. The two words "Nguyen Dan" have Chinese origin, "nguyen" means the beginning or the beginning and "dan" is early morning. Also on the sacred and pure first day of the year, there is a block of houses that still maintains the beauty, which seems to be deeply ingrained in the subconscious, of saluting the flag on the first day of Tet, that is block 6, Ben Thuy ward - Vinh city.
On the first day of the new year, local people often have many useful activities. In particular, in Vinh City, the flag-raising activity on the morning of the first day of the new year has become a tradition of the people of many blocks. Typically, in Block 6 (Ben Thuy Ward - Vinh City), one of the localities that used to be the cradle of the revolution in the Soviet homeland, the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the new year has been maintained for 14 years. In particular, the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the spring of Quy Ty, the people of Block 6 were really excited when the block had many changes. Therefore, the flag-raising ceremony has an even more important meaning for the people here.

As usual for the past 14 years, from early morning, people of Block 6, Ben Thuy Ward (Vinh City) gathered at the block's cultural house to hold the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the new year. This is an activity that has been maintained by people of Block 6 since 1999 - the time Block 6 received the title of the first Cultural Village of Nghe An province. Mr. Tran Van Nhan, deputy secretary of the Party cell, block leader of Block 6 - Ben Thuy (Vinh City) said: Every morning of the first day of Tet, people voluntarily come to the flag-raising ceremony. There is no need to announce on the loudspeaker, at exactly 8:00 a.m. on the first day of Tet, people voluntarily gather at the block's cultural house. Before the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the Spring of Quy Ty, the block elected 3 people, representatives of the people, prestigious people and the elderly, to solemnly offer incense to Uncle Ho's altar. After the flag-raising ceremony and a minute of silence for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sacred country, the block leader reviewed the activities and achievements of the people in the block in 2012 with wishes for more changes in the new year. This was followed by a joyful cup of wine to celebrate the Spring and the "homegrown" poems and songs that echoed throughout a corner of the block at the beginning of Spring.
The elderly and prestigious people of the bloc solemnly offered incense.

Many articles on new guidelines, policies, and ways of doing things were read by the block for everyone to listen to and learn from.
Surprisingly, at this ceremony, we met retired teacher Doan Manh Tien, lecturer of the Faculty of Literature (Vinh University), a veteran contributor to Nghe An newspaper from 1990-2000. He often wrote for the poetry and sports sections. He commented: "Nghe An newspaper is now very different, very beautiful. Different in the way of thinking, the way of doing, beautiful in form and content. We are very proud of our provincial newspaper". Ms. Phuong is also the first female deputy head of the grade, although she is old, she is still very radiant with the people on a happy first day of the new year.
The first cups of wine of Spring were mixed with joy with the people of grade 6.
The flag-raising ceremony on the morning of the first day of Tet organized by the people of block 6 every year not only has the meaning of celebrating the Party and the new spring, but through this activity, the people in the block meet, wish each other a happy new year and together determine to maintain and promote the achievements of the cultural block.
