(Baoghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nam Thai commune (Nam Dan) has just held a ceremony to receive the provincial-level historical relic certificate for the Tomb and Temple of King Mai's mother.
According to historical records, King Mai's mother was originally from Mai Phu village, Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh). At the end of the 7th century, she came to live on the top of Con Chen in Ngoc Trung hamlet, Dong Liet commune (now Nam Thai commune). Here, under the care and protection of the villagers, mother and son worked hard to support each other. Once, while going up the mountain, she was attacked by a tiger. Mai Thuc Loan and the villagers brought her back to be buried on the top of De mountain.
