Ceremony to receive and bury 96 sets of martyrs' remains back to the beloved Motherland

This morning, January 30, 2013, in Do Luong district, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Party Committee and government of Do Luong district solemnly held a ceremony to receive and bury 96 sets of martyrs' remains that the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team - Nghe An Provincial Military Command searched for and collected from remote areas of the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane (Laos) and brought back to Vietnam in the first batch, dry season 2012 - 2013.

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, January 30, 2013, in Do Luong district, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the Party Committee and government of Do Luong district solemnly held a ceremony to receive and bury 96 sets of martyrs' remains that the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team - Nghe An Provincial Military Command searched for and collected from remote areas of the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane (Laos) and brought back to Vietnam in the first batch, dry season 2012 - 2013.

Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Department of Policy - Ministry of National Defense, Military Region IV; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, departments, branches, and organizations at the provincial level; representatives of Do Luong district, along with a large number of officers, soldiers of the armed forces and local people attended the ceremony. Also attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Chan-xa-mon Chan-nha-lat - Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Head of the Special Work Committee of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; Comrade Duong-chet Chang-xay-vang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Governor, Head of the Special Work Committee of Xieng Khouang province; Comrade Bun-mi, Deputy Governor, Head of the Special Work Committee of Vientiane province and representatives of the armed forces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane provinces attended.

Reading a speech at the ceremony, Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Special Working Committee of Nghe An province expressed his gratitude and deep remembrance to the martyrs who lived, fought gloriously and heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation; for the noble international cause. The martyrs' sacrifices have contributed to fostering the everlasting and everlasting solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. He also thanked the Party and people of Laos for protecting and taking care of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts like their own children during the fighting period and taking good care of their graves after they fell. The Party Committee and people of the province vow to continue to strive in all aspects to achieve greater achievements to be worthy of the sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs.

Burial of martyrs' remains

On behalf of the delegation of the Special Working Group of the two provinces of Xieng Khouang and Vientiane of the Lao PDR, Comrade Duong-chet Chang-xay-vang recalled the great contributions of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts to the Lao Revolution in general and the two provinces in particular during the two resistance wars for independence and freedom of Laos. He expressed his gratitude to the parents and families who sent their children to fight and help the Lao Revolution and people so that Laos could be what it is today. He believed that, to be worthy of the heroic sacrifice of the martyrs, the Party and people of the two countries would continue to do their utmost to build the solidarity in fighting and the special friendship between Laos and Vietnam that would last forever like the majestic Truong Son mountain range.
