The Ba Cho Duoc Festival is held annually to commemorate the merits of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cua, who was bestowed the title of High-Ranking Deity by the Nguyen Dynasty Kings. This is a unique folk cultural festival, reflecting the Mother Goddess worship beliefs of the people of Quang Nam province.
The Lady Mausoleum was recognized as a provincial-level cultural relic by the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee in 2008 and will be restored in the near future. Thang Binh District has planned to elevate the festival to a provincial level while still ensuring its spiritual and artistic elements.
From early morning, thousands of locals and tourists gathered in front of the mausoleum to attend the ceremony and pay their respects to the goddess with reverence and solemnity. During the festival days, many cultural and sporting activities are continuously organized, such as football, volleyball, traditional folk singing, and traditional boat racing.
