Nguyen Xi Temple Festival

(Baonghean) -From March 3 - 5, 2011 (ie January 29, 30 and February 1, Tan Mao year), in Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district (Nghe An), Nguyen Xi Temple Festival took place.

The ceremony took place solemnly with the rituals of proclamation, procession, incense offering, sacrifice, great sacrifice, and thanksgiving. The festival took place excitingly with activities such as tug of war, human chess, camping, cultural exchange, photo exhibition, etc.

The festival is an occasion to commemorate the merits of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi, one of the founding fathers of the Later Le Dynasty, who had great merit in assisting King Le Thai To in repelling the Ming invaders. Later, he also had great merit in reviving the dynasty, contributing to bringing peace and prosperity.
