Pu Nha Thau Temple Festival

(Baonghean.vn) -On February 15 and 16, 2012 (January 24 and 25), at Na Luong village (Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An), Pu Nha Thau Temple Festival took place.

Attending the festival were representatives of the Department of Culture of Nghe An province, many local people and tourists from near and far.

Pu Nha Thau Temple is a Historical - Cultural Relic, a place to worship the Mother Goddess of the Upper Realm, General Doan Nhu Hai (Tran Dynasty) and a mother who raised Tran Dynasty soldiers in the war against the Ai Lao invaders who invaded the western border of Nghe An in the 14th century.

This year's festival took place with the following ceremonies: opening ceremony, announcement, procession, buffalo slaughter ceremony, grand sacrifice and thanksgiving ceremony. The festival took place with exciting cultural exchange activities, camping and folk games: tug of war, throwing con, pushing sticks, crossbow shooting...
