The Long Tong Festival of the Tay people in Tuyen Quang province has just been recognized as a National Intangible Heritage.

On the morning of February 22, in Lam Binh district, Tuyen Quang province, the ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage "Long Tong Festival of the Tay people" of Tuyen Quang province took place.

Ms. Dang Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded the Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage: Long Tong Festival of the Tay people to Tuyen Quang province and affirmed: Long Tong Festival and Then Ritual of the Tay people in Tuyen Quang province are two heritages included in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, affirming and honoring the value of these two heritages, demonstrating the efforts and contributions of the Party Committee, government and people of Tuyen Quang in preserving traditional cultural and historical values, improving the appearance of the land of revolutionary origin, and at the same time opening up many potentials and opportunities to develop tourism economy associated with community culture.

Long Tong Festival has many activities such as: Tich Dien ceremony (going down to the fields to plow with the meaning of praying for a year of bountiful crops); Then singing and dancing program performed by artists and students of Thuong Lam High School; folk games such as: throwing con, tug of war, walking ka kheo, playing bam, playing swallow, blindfolded duck catching and modern sports such as: volleyball, tug of war... attracting many people of Tuyen Quang province to participate with the hope of a successful year.
