"Pink Spring Festival" collected 800 units of blood

(Baonghean) -In February 2012, responding to the "Pink Spring Festival" campaign, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Nghe An called on all cadres, civil servants, youth union members and all people to enthusiastically respond to the movements "Sharing blood - giving hope" and "Journey of connecting hearts".

Thousands of volunteers have registered to donate blood. The Hematology Department of the Provincial General Hospital has organized blood collection sessions at Vinh University, Vinh Medical University, Yen Thanh district and the Hoa Champa Live Blood Bank of Vinh City Youth Union, collecting 537 units of blood.

In particular, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Nghe An branch, organized a humanitarian blood donation festival in Nghe An for the Bank's staff, collecting 263 units of blood. With 800 units of blood collected in February, it can be affirmed that the voluntary blood donation movement has been spreading widely and is highly socialized.
