SEA Games 27 Opening Ceremony: Impressive, colorful

At 6:30 p.m. on December 11, the opening ceremony of the 27th SEA Games took place at Wunna Theikdi Stadium, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. Colorful art and music performances left a lasting impression on the audience.

This is the first time Myanmar has hosted the Southeast Asian Games. The 27th SEA Games Organizing Committee has invested quite a lot in the Opening Ceremony which just ended at Wunna Theikdi Stadium with a capacity of 30,000 seats. Therefore, the art, music, sound and light performances of the 27th SEA Games Opening Ceremony which just ended at Wunna Theikdi Stadium left a beautiful impression on the audience.

The grand opening ceremony was attended by 8,000 actors who had been training for the past year.

Brilliant fireworks opened the SEA Games Opening Ceremony.

The opening ceremony started with a fireworks display combined with dance groups performing on stage, very impressive lighting effects and a countdown by the Organizing Committee.

After the musical performance, there was a parade of 11 sports delegations participating in the 27th SEA Games. The Vietnamese delegation was 10th, right before the host delegation of Myanmar. Next, the flag of the host country Myanmar, the flag of the Southeast Asian Games Federation and the flags of the remaining 10 sports delegations were raised.

The Vietnamese sports delegation entered the stage to prepare for the opening ceremony of the 27th SEA Games.

Next, Mr. U Tint Hsan - Myanmar's Sports Minister and Head of the 27th SEA Games Organizing Committee read the opening speech of the Southeast Asian regional sports festival, before Myanmar's Vice President, U Nyan Tun, declared the opening.

After the brilliant fireworks display, the oath-taking ceremony of representatives of athletes and referees from the host country Myanmar took place. Next was the lighting ceremony of the cauldron of the 27th SEA Games.

After the sports delegations withdrew from the stage, Myanmar entertained international friends with performances imbued with national cultural identity. The first was a performance called "The Heart of the Myanmar People", recreating the history of the birth, formation and development of Myanmar.

The rest are traditional art performances from Myanmar as well as from countries in the Southeast Asian region. The visual art performance carries the message of the 27th SEA Games “Green, clean and peaceful”.

Finally, the mascots of previous SEA Games appeared. The official song of the 27th SEA Games was played before the magical fireworks display. The opening night has ended, the largest sports festival in the region has officially opened. Let's look forward to an impressive and successful SEA Games for the host country Myanmar and especially for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
