To practically celebrate the 121st birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 100th anniversary of his departure to find a way to save the country, this morning, June 3, 2011, in Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the project to restore and embellish the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - Mother of President Ho Chi Minh.

(Baonghean) -To practically celebrate the 121st birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 100th anniversary of his departure to find a way to save the country, this morning, June 3, 2011, in Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the project to restore and embellish the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - Mother of President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Party and State leaders: Nguyen Minh Triet, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Tong Thi Phong, Politburo member, Vice President of the National Assembly; Nguyen Thien Nhan, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; former Politburo members: Nguyen Manh Cam, former Deputy Prime Minister; Ho Duc Viet, former Head of the Central Organization Committee; leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, leaders of the IV Military Region Command; Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command; representatives of leaders of Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City and some neighboring provinces.

On the provincial leadership side, there were comrades Phan Dinh Trac, member of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman of the People's Committee, comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Province; comrades who were former provincial leaders through the periods; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, leaders of districts, cities, and towns in the province; representatives of heroic mothers of the Vietnamese people, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, representatives of the Nguyen Sinh, Hoang Xuan, and Ha families in Kim Lien (Nam Dan) and a large number of people in the province.

The project to restore and embellish the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan is one of the important items in the project to preserve and embellish the Kim Lien historical and cultural relic site associated with tourism development, approved by the Prime Minister on July 8, 2003. Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan was born in 1868 and passed away on December 22, Canh Ty year (1900). Her life is a beautiful example, a model for the noble qualities of Vietnamese women.

To better serve the increasing demand for visits from the people and international friends, to meet the requirements and aspirations of the people of the whole country, after choosing the design, on July 21, 2010, the project started construction and after a year of urgent construction, it has now been completed. The tomb is an architectural work with a beautiful and intimate design, the tomb roof has a stylized loom shape with 6 soft silk strips, recalling the hard life of weaving to support her husband and children during her lifetime. Behind the tomb is a white stone relief depicting the elegant and pure lotus petals of her hometown and also a symbol of her life and personality. The work is not massive but humble, quietly in harmony with the landscape of Dong Tranh, Dai Hue range and the whole Hong Lam mountains and rivers.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the Kim Lien relic site and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan in particular, along with the system of other relics about Uncle Ho, are relics of special historical and cultural value. They are Ho Chi Minh's cultural heritage, priceless assets of the Party and our nation. Those values ​​have been, are and will forever become the sentiments, wisdom, and encouragement of our entire Party, people and army to unite and compete to build a rich, beautiful and civilized country. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Comrade Tong Thi Phong, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, commended the efforts of the Party Committee, Government and people in the province in successfully implementing the items in the Project to preserve and restore the Kim Lien Historical and Cultural Relic Site, including the Tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, and assigned specific tasks to the Nghe An Party Committee and People to effectively and meaningfully manage and exploit the project. Next, the leaders of the Party, State, provincial leaders and people together burned incense at the tomb of Mrs. Ha Thi Hy, Uncle Ho's grandmother and cut the ribbon to inaugurate and burn incense at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - Uncle Ho's mother.

Previously, at the inauguration ceremony, to recreate the life of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, the art program "Mother of Sen Village" was performed by artists of Nghe An Folk Song Theater.

Immediately after the ceremony ended, comrade Tong Thi Phong returned to Kim Lien relic site to offer incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
