The 234th anniversary of Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The ceremony aims to commemorate the heroic feats of arms in repelling foreign invaders; and to review the heroic tradition of the Tay Son movement, which culminated in the Spring victory of the year Ky Dau 1789.

234 years ago, on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, 1789, the Tay Son army under the command of Emperor Quang Trung attacked Thang Long, winning the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory, forcing the entire Manchu army to flee back to their country.
At the ceremony, leaders of Vinh city, agencies, departments and branches, and a large number of people offered incense and flowers to commemorate Emperor Quang Trung, and together reviewed the glorious feats of the cloth-clothed hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue and the Tay Son army.

The 234th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory is a spiritual activity, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", honoring the glorious achievements and the spirit of victory of the cloth-clad hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (the Emperor worshiped by the people at the Temple on Dung Quyet Mountain, Trung Do Ward, Vinh City).
