“January Star” Award Ceremony for the 2012-2013 school year

(Baonghean.vn)-Towards the 63rd Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2013), on the evening of January 5, 2013, at Vinh Pedagogical College, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Student Association organized the Award Ceremony of "January Star" for the 2012 - 2013 school year and the title of "5 Good Students" for the 2011 - 2012 school year. Attending the ceremony was comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.

Honoring students who won the "January Star" award this year, there were 46 provincial-level faces, 6 faces won the title of "5 good students" at the central level for union members with an academic score of 8.0 or higher; or had scientific research works that won first and second prizes at school level, won first and second prizes in national olympic competitions; were excellent union cadres in universities in the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union awarded schools with achievements in sports movements. Previously, in order to create a healthy and useful playground for the Youth Union members in schools, the Provincial Youth Union launched a cultural and artistic movement and physical exercise with rhythmic music, aerobics, and sports dances in the school sector.

Although not having a favorable environment to practice like the ones in the city, the teams from high schools in districts such as Thanh Chuong and Quynh Luu had really impressive performances. The results: Dang Thuc Hua High School Team and Orion Family dance group won first prize; Quynh Luu 3 High School Team and Huynh Thuc Khang High School won second prize.
