Ceremony of awarding the state honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 27, Anh Son district solemnly held a ceremony to award the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to mothers who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

Mother Vi Thi Quy received the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother

Through the resistance wars, Anh Son district has dedicated to the Fatherland over 2,065 martyrs, 1,727 wounded soldiers, 601 sick soldiers, 430 people infected with toxic chemicals; 145 soldiers were imprisoned by the enemy; 7,046 people were awarded medals of various types. Thousands of outstanding children of Anh Son homeland have fallen for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and the happiness of the people.

In 2015, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Anh Son district directed the preparation of documents for consideration, proposal, and the President decided to confer and posthumously confer the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" on 59 mothers, including one living mother, Vi Thi Quy in Cam Son commune, and posthumously confer the title on 58 deceased mothers. Up to now, Anh Son district has 97 mothers conferred and posthumously conferred the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".
