Ceremony to award Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Prize for Literature and Arts 2016 at the end of September

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2804/QD-BVHTTDL dated August 10, 2016 approving the Plan to organize the Ceremony to present the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2016.

The organization of the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Literature and Arts 2016 award ceremony aims to honor literary and artistic works of high value, thereby affirming and demonstrating the Party and State's attention to artists and the development of the country's literature and arts in recent times.

The Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Prize for Literature and Arts 2016 is headed by the leader of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the participation of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (including: Department of Emulation and Commendation, Ministry Office, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, Department of Cinema, Hanoi Opera House Management Board) and units under relevant functional agencies (including: Department of Emulation and Commendation, Office of the President; Department of Organization, State Administration and Public Affairs, Government Office; Department of Research and Synthesis, Central Emulation and Commendation Committee). Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Emulation and Commendation to preside over and coordinate with units under the Ministry to implement the Plan to organize the Ho Chi Minh Prize and State Prize for Literature and Arts 2016.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires the organization of the Award Ceremony to ensure solemnity and thrift, and to comply with the requirements and regulations of the State.
