Memorial Service for Traffic Accident Victims
(Baonghean.vn) -Responding to the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, this morning, November 19, in Vinh City, the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An Province and the People's Committee of Vinh City held a memorial service for victims of traffic accidents.
Comrades: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Hong Ky - Director of the Department of Transport, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee; Nguyen Quang Hanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Xuan Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, Head of the Vinh City Traffic Safety Committee, together with representatives of departments, branches of the province and agencies, units, wards and communes of Vinh city; representatives of families of traffic accident victims and a large number of people and youth attended the Memorial Service for traffic accident victims.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Dien said: The traffic accident situation is still complicated and worrying; the tragic deaths bring sadness and great loss to the victims' family members and everyone around. People with lifelong disabilities and loss of working capacity due to traffic accidents are not only a burden for their families but also have a significant impact on the material and spiritual life of the community. On the other hand, the person who causes the traffic accident must also suffer from lifelong mental trauma and torment. Traffic accidents are truly a disaster for everyone and the whole society.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also shared the grief and loss of families whose loved ones died or were injured due to traffic accidents. He also called on all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations and everyone, out of responsibility to society and family, to join hands and contribute with stronger actions to help contain, reduce and eventually push back traffic accidents in the coming time.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union called on young people to actively compete in the movement "All people participate in maintaining traffic safety" to respond to the Day of Remembrance for Traffic Accident Victims with the slogan "Safety at all times - Happiness everywhere".

On behalf of the families of victims who died in traffic accidents, Mr. Dau Hong Quang (residing in block 9, Truong Thi ward, Vinh city, whose two children (daughter-in-law and son-in-law) died in a traffic accident) expressed his emotion at the concern of the authorities at all levels, organizations and the social community who shared their feelings with the families of the victims and hoped that all families and people living will not again encounter the tragedies that the families of traffic accident victims have endured.
The Memorial Service is an opportunity for everyone to express their condolences to the unfortunate victims of traffic accidents and to share their loss with their relatives. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for everyone to remind themselves, their relatives and friends to strictly comply with the Traffic Law; contributing to creating a safe traffic environment for themselves and the community.
