The coach of the German representative did not hide his surprise when mentioning the developments of the Champions League group stage match on October 20.

The Group E match between Leverkusen and AS Roma played out in a very surprising way. The Bundesliga side took an early lead with two goals after 20 minutes. The Italian capital team then scored four goals in a row, leading 4-2. Leverkusen did not collapse because of that. On the contrary, in the last five minutes, this team scored two more goals, making the score 4-4.

"It was an unusual football match," said Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt. "That's why the coach, the players and the crowd came to the stadium. In the last minutes we almost won 5-4. It would have been crazy if it had happened."

Roma coach Rudi Garcia said: "I'm not disappointed with the result. Initially we were two goals down. For some teams that would have been a loss. But in the end we got a point. Of course, I have mixed feelings because I was leading 4-2 and ended up 4-4."

The draw has benefited Barca. The Catalans are firmly in the lead with seven points. Second place is Leverkusen with three points less. The bottom two are BATE and Roma.
