Detailed schedule of Cannavaro's work when arriving in Vietnam
This morning (January 6), world-famous center back Fabio Cannavaro will be in Vietnam at the invitation of sponsor Eximbank.
Journalist Anh Ngoc has been chosen as Cannavaro's press assistant and will follow the world champion defender throughout his journey.
According to the schedule announced by the Organizing Committee, the flight carrying Cannavaro will land at Tan Son Nhat Airport between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. on January 6. According to information on the sidelines, there will be about 200 fans waiting for him at the airport. From Italy, Cannavaro sent greetings to Vietnamese fans and expressed his hope to receive a warm welcome here.
After landing at the airport, Cannavaro will return to the hotel to rest. In the early afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to be exact, he will have a meeting with the Board of Directors of Eximbank, the sponsor of this program, at the bank's headquarters. According to the representative of this bank, the reason they chose Cannavaro is because when he was a player, he was a central defender, thus representing certainty.
Cannavaro will land at Tan Son Nhat airport between 7:30 and 8:45 a.m. on January 6.
From 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the same day, the Italian player will have a meeting with Vietnamese reporters at the Caravelle Hotel. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., he will attend a dinner party with the Board of Directors of Eximbank and members of the Italian Consulate General in Vietnam at the Park Hyatt Hotel. This is also the last activity on Cannavaro's first day in Vietnam.
The second day, January 7, will be Cannavaro’s busiest and most “football” day. From 9am to 11am, he will have an exchange, demonstrating his skills in front of the children of the U15 team of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Vocational School. In the afternoon, in the most notable activity, Cannavaro will attend the match of round 2 of the Super League between Saigon FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
Cannavaro is only expected to be present for about 30 minutes, from 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm, but this could still create a "ticket fever" for this match. The reason is that there are many Vietnamese fans, even those who are not in Saigon, who want to witness their idol in the flesh.
The most anticipated event for fans will take place on the morning of Tuesday, which is also Cannavaro’s last day in Vietnam. From 9am to 11am, he will have a fan meeting and interview at the Youth Cultural House.
From 11:30 to 1:00 p.m., Cannavaro will have his last lunch in Vietnam before saying goodbye.
