Provincial Labor Federation elects additional members to the 18th Standing Committee

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, there were comrade Le Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and representatives of the Provincial Party Committees, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc. On behalf of the Provincial Labor Federation, there was comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Labor Federation.

The conference conducted a mid-term vote of confidence for the Nghe An Trade Union Congress for leaders and managers of the Provincial Federation of Labor; elected two additional members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor for the 18th term, 2018-2023; and publicly announced the financial settlement report of the Trade Union.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Quoc Khanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of Nghe An Trade Union in recent times, which have had many positive changes, innovations, and many targets achieved and exceeded the set plan. At the same time, he also pointed out some limitations such as: activities sometimes and in some places are still formal, the work of establishing Trade Union organizations in enterprises has not kept up with the development speed of enterprises...

For union officials, it is necessary to continue to cultivate their mettle, choose key content to protect workers' rights. Take care of the work of cadres, proactively prepare for the personnel work of the upcoming Trade Union Congress so that the activities of the Trade Union become increasingly practical and effective to meet the requirements of the renovation process.

Orienting the key tasks of the Trade Union activities in the last 6 months of 2021, comrade Kha Van Tam requested the district-level Labor Federations and Industry Trade Unions to study Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation to build a team of brave and professional Trade Union officials, promote exemplary behavior and always innovate and be creative in activities. Implement the plan of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation on the implementation of the coordination program between the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. Be proactive in advising the Party Committee, coordinate with the government in Trade Union activities to complete the set targets and tasks.

For the activities to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2021), based on the direction plan of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the units selected the implementation content to ensure meaning and suitability to the Covid-19 epidemic situation.
