Nghe An Union of Science and Technology Associations deploys tasks for the last 6 months of the year
On the afternoon of June 26, the Nghe An Union of Science and Technology Associations held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, President of the Nghe An Union of Science and Technology Associations; representatives of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and units; representatives of members and affiliated units.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has been active and achieved important results. Notably, the outline of the 2024 Science and Application Journal has been developed, 5 issues have been published and sent to communes, wards, towns, departments, branches and sectors in the province and exchanged with 63 associations of other provinces.
At the 2023 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award Ceremony, Nghe An delegation was honored to receive 1 Third Prize with the project: "Research and design to renovate and replace MTU396 engine on D13E locomotive numbered from 716 to 725" by the group of authors Bui Van Hien, Bui Van Sang, Pham Van Truong, Nguyen Doan Truong, Truong Quy Huan - Vinh Locomotive Enterprise; 1 Encouragement Prize with the project "Collapse pit to prevent local flooding and prevent odor" by the group of authors: Hoang Hong Khanh, Tran Tuan Nam, Nguyen Nghia Giap - Vinh Urban Infrastructure Management and Development Joint Stock Company.
Activities to honor intellectuals, awards, competitions, and contests are of interest to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations in leading and directing research, application, and development of science and technology; promoting the movement of creative labor emulation, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, and applying science and technology to production and life...
Deploying tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the Nghe An Union of Science and Technology Associations identified key tasks: Thoroughly implementing Resolution 45-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023, the 8th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to build and promote the role of the intellectual team to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period.
Coordinate and direct member associations to organize the Congress in accordance with regulations: Lawyers Association, Gardening Association, Ornamental Plants Association, Educational Psychology Association, Information Technology Association, Urban Planning and Development Association; publish 6 issues of the Science and Application Journal to complete on schedule, ensuring content and quality...
At the conference, delegates elected additional members of the Executive Committee, the position of Vice President of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, term VI, 2019 - 2024; and contributed opinions on the Draft Plan for the Congress of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, term VII, 2025 - 2030.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, President of the Nghe An Union of Science and Technology Associations highly appreciated the activities of the affiliated associations. At the same time, she requested the affiliated associations to continue to create positive changes, improve personnel, and create a premise to excellently complete the tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.
