The United Nations has announced the largest humanitarian crisis since 1945. |
Without a “coordinated global effort” from international organizations, these people would simply die, he said. To prevent the disaster as quickly as possible, financial assistance must be provided to Yemen, South Sudan, Somalia and Nigeria, with a deadline of at least $4.4 billion needed to be collected by June.
“Without this money, children will stop growing and developing, will not go to school and their futures could be completely lost,” Mr O'Brien stressed.
