Ms. Amos also added that in recent months, there have been many reports of “public executions of children,” mainly carried out by IS militants.

There are currently an estimated 5.6 million minors in Syria in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Ms. Amos asked the UN Security Council to end human rights violations in Syria and prosecute those responsible for these atrocities.
