Cooperative Alliance of 6 provinces in the North Central region agreed to compete in 2013
(Baonghean.vn) -On December 18, in Vinh City, the Head of the Emulation Cluster of 6 North Central provinces - Nghe An Province Cooperative Union held a conference to summarize the emulation work in 2012 and sign the emulation covenant in 2013.
Attending the Conference were representatives of the Emulation and Reward Board of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the chairmen and officers in charge of emulation of the Alliance of 6 provinces (including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue).

In 2012, despite the general economic difficulties, the Cooperative Union of 6 provinces in the North Central region strived to overcome difficulties, actively focused on the grassroots level to gradually develop the collective economy in both quantity and quality, contributing positively to the stability of economic development and social security in the area. By the end of 2012, the total number of cooperative unions and cooperatives of the provinces included 3,303 units, of which Thanh Hoa had 923, Nghe An 852, Ha Tinh 631, Quang Binh 281, Quang Tri 356 and Thua Thien Hue 254.
The Cooperative Alliance of 6 North Central provinces is a unit that has performed quite well in the task of developing new cooperatives and providing consultancy, support, training and coaching for cooperative staff. In 2012, the North Central provinces had many policies to support the development of cooperatives and their member units. Especially the lending activities of the Cooperative Development Support Funds. In 2013, the cluster of 6 North Central provinces continued to promote 2 emulation movements: Pioneering cooperatives in hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and Cooperatives innovating, developing and improving the efficiency of collective economy. The goal and orientation of the emulation and reward work in 2013: strive to successfully complete the targets of cooperative development, new cooperative models, agricultural cooperative services and the targets and objectives set by the Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

At the conference, representatives of the Cooperative Union of 6 provinces in the North Central signed a commitment to continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement in 2013, striving to excellently complete the tasks of 2013 with the following contents: focusing on innovation, development, consolidation and improvement of the operational efficiency of cooperatives and cooperative unions; Organizing well the propaganda work, developing new cooperatives and cooperative unions to ensure compliance with the principles of the Law on Cooperatives, stable and sustainable development. Especially, thoroughly implementing the Law on Cooperatives 2012 to members and grassroots; Building and replicating typical advanced cooperative models, strong cooperatives, cooperatives for prosperous communities. Launching the entire region to carry out the emulation movement to join hands to build new rural areas. Strive for each province to have at least 1 cooperative union, cooperative or provincial cooperative union agency awarded the excellent emulation flag by the Vietnam Cooperative Union and the Provincial People's Committee, registering 100% to achieve the highest score in 7 emulation criteria of the whole industry.
