(Baonghean.vn) -On December 29 in Vinh City, the Nghe An Province Cooperative Union held a meeting to summarize the tasks of developing the collective economy in 2012 and deploy tasks in 2013. Attending were comrade Le Xuan Dai - member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

In 2012, the economy faced many difficulties, many enterprises had to dissolve and stop operating, but the collective economic sector of Nghe An still ensured stable development. In 2012, the whole province had 75 cooperatives established, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the area to 2,775 units. During the year, 22 new cooperatives were established, bringing the total number of cooperatives and cooperative unions in the whole province to 852 units, with 651,971 members; The average revenue of cooperatives in the area in 2012 reached 0.76 billion VND, the average income of workers was 2.2 million VND/person/month.

Craft villages and craft villages continued to be stable, many areas grew well such as handicraft production, rattan and bamboo weaving and seafood processing. The value of small-scale industrial production reached over 3,000 billion VND, export turnover reached 15 million USD; Agricultural cooperatives focused on traditional service activities, some cooperatives diversified new service activities such as environmental sanitation, market services. Many cooperatives effectively performed the role of "midwife" for member households such as Nghi Lien Agricultural Service and Electricity Cooperative, Hung Hoa 2 Agricultural Cooperative (Vinh City); Phu Hau Agricultural Service and Electricity Cooperative (Dien Chau)... Some non-agricultural cooperatives had new developments including Quyet Thanh Cooperative, Quyet Thang Handicraft Cooperative (Vinh City), Song Lam Production and Service Cooperative (Cua Lo Town), 12/9 Mechanical Cooperative, market service cooperatives in Vinh City...

Objectives and tasks in 2013: continue to develop the collective economy focusing on rural agriculture. At the same time, build many strong cooperatives to serve the goal of building new rural areas. Innovate and improve the operational efficiency of agricultural service cooperatives. Build and develop cooperative groups and cooperatives according to the multi-industry business model... In 2013, establish 25-30 new cooperatives; Consider recognizing 7-10 craft villages. Organize vocational training for 1,000-1,200 apprentices. Attract 40-60 cooperatives, private enterprises, and grassroots People's Credit Funds to become members of the Union. Promote consulting, support, and direction in the development of collective economy, small-scale industry, craft villages, and non-state economy, aiming to create regular jobs for 40,000-50,000 workers in these areas.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In the general difficult economic conditions, the production and business activities of cooperatives and craft villages are still stable, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers, ensuring social security in the area. On behalf of the provincial leaders, he requested the Union agency, as a bridge, to promptly advise and propose recommendations from the cooperative and craft village sectors to the Provincial People's Committee. Regarding the granting of land use right certificates to cooperatives, the province's policy is very supportive. If cooperatives are still stuck in any stage or sector, they should make recommendations so that the province can promptly resolve them. Nghe An province always creates the most favorable conditions to help the collective economic sector of the province develop more and more sustainably.
