US coalition admits mistakenly killing at least 685 people in Iraq and Syria
In total, at least 685 innocent civilians have been killed in attacks by the US-led anti-IS coalition in Syria and Iraq.
On September 1, the US-led military coalition against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization confirmed that 61 more civilians were killed by their airstrikes in Iraq and Syria.

In total, at least 685 innocent civilians have been killed by coalition strikes in the area since the conflict began in August 2014. However, this is only the acknowledged number, the actual number of civilians killed by coalition shelling could be much higher.
Of 37 reports of civilian casualties investigated in July, the coalition found only 13 to be credible, with a total of 61 civilian deaths.
The US-led military coalition is also continuing to investigate 455 other reports of civilian casualties caused by its artillery or air strikes.
Among the newly investigated reports, the incident that caused the most casualties was an airstrike on March 14 this year near the city ofMosul, Iraq killed 27 people./.
