A MiG-29 fighter crashed during a scheduled flight in the Astrakhan region, the press service of the Southern Military District reported. The pilot of the aircraft was killed.

“The plane crashed in a deserted place on the Ashuluk training ground. The flight training was conducted without ammunition,” the military said.

A Commission of the Aerospace Forces Command was sent to the scene of the accident to determine the cause of the disaster.
