The National Highway 48B to Lach Quen Port project starts at Lach Quen Port, in Quynh Thuan Commune (Quynh Luu) and ends at the intersection with the turnoff to Cau Giat Station. On the construction route of the National Highway 1 overpass, there is an intersection between National Highway 48B and National Highway 1.

The project is invested by the Joint Venture of Construction and Transport Corporation 4 - Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense) with a total cost of more than 371 billion VND from the capital of the National Highway 1 expansion project under the form of a BOT contract.

Currently, the western section of the overpass has been cleared and is under construction to keep up with the schedule, but at the foot of the bridge, many people are selling fruits. On the 15th and 1st of every month, the number of buyers and sellers is higher, posing a high risk of accidents.

Although the functional forces of Cau Giat town and Quynh Luu district have mobilized to clear the area, the vendors still deliberately violate the law.
