GOAL
Liverpool:Lallana (45'), Henderson (60')
West Brom:Berahino (56', penalty)
Poor form of late explains why Mario Balotelli has been omitted from Liverpool's starting line-up. The Reds' centre-forward position has been taken over by another new signing, Rickie Lambert. However, it seems that the Merseyside Reds' lack of goals is not down to the decline of any one individual.

Despite making changes in attack, Liverpool struggled to find a way into West Brom's goal. It wasn't until the end of the first half, after a surprising exchange between Lallana and Henderson, that West Brom's net finally shook after Lallana's decisive shot.
But at the most difficult moment, the star who bears all the expectations of Liverpool at the moment, Raheem Sterling, spoke up. The England international dribbled hard on the right wing, and despite being knocked down, he still managed to get up and cross inside toHenderson scored diagonally to increase the score to 2-1.
In the final minutes, Liverpool pressed the field quite regularly and it seemed that there were more opportunities thanks to the appearance of Mario Balotelli. However, no more goals were scored. The victory was just enough although it did not satisfy the fans' enjoyment needs, but a piece when hungry is worth a whole package when full.
