The match between Viettel and Hong Linh Ha Tinh at Hang Day Stadium on July 27 in round 3 of phase 2 of V.League 2023 will be the first match to apply VAR technology.

According to the plan, VPF will apply VAR in about 3-5 matches in the remaining stages of V.League 2023. VPF and the VFF Referee Board will work with all teams participating in the tournament to disseminate information to players and club members. This ensures the operation of VAR in the next 3 years, when FIFA always supervises the entire VAR operation process in Vietnam.
