Nam Dan District Police issued an arrest warrant and urgently searched the house of Tran Dinh Ngoc, residing in Xuan Hoa Commune, and seized dozens of gun-making tools and 260 sports bullets. At the same time, they arrested and prosecuted Nguyen Van Chuong, residing in Dong Van Commune, Thanh Chuong, for illegal possession of weapons.

Guns seized at Tran Dinh Ngoc's "manufacturing" site

According to the investigation agency, on September 24, Nguyen Van Chuong (36 years old, residing in Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) drove a motorbike on National Highway 46 through Nam Dan district with many suspicious signs, so he was followed by the police.

When arriving at Xuan Hoa commune, Nam Dan district, the police checked the trunk of Chuong's car and discovered a pistol with lethal features like a military gun. Chuong said he bought this gun at the house of Tran Dinh Ngoc (45 years old, residing in Xuan Hoa commune) for more than 3 million VND.

Ngoc told the police that he had been researching and buying materials to make guns for several months. The first gun he made was not working and he threw it away. The second gun he made was successful and he sold it to Chuong for 3 million three hundred thousand dong.
