Ecstasy shipment worth nearly 9 billion VND was intercepted at the border
Ambushing in the border area of Nghe An province with Laos, authorities arrested a foreigner transporting 60,000 ecstasy pills.
At around 9:00 a.m. on March 4, in the border area of Huong Son district (Ha Tinh), Ha Tinh Border Guard coordinated with inter-agency forces to ambush and catch Thao Kdenh Vang (25 years old, Lao nationality) red-handed while crossing the forest to transport drugs.

At the scene, authorities seized 60,000 ecstasy pills worth nearly 9 billion VND, a knife and many other exhibits.
The suspect confessed to buying and transporting drugs from Laos, bringing them to Vietnam to sell to partners for profit.
