Phu Quy bus conductor assaulted My Ly gatekeeper
(Baonghean.vn) -At 12:42 p.m. on March 13, while on duty ensuring traffic safety at the My Ly railway crossing in Nghi Loc district (Nghe An), two crossing guards were assaulted by the Phu Quy bus conductor.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, a railway crossing guard at km 296 +150 (Nghe Tinh Railway Management Company Limited) said: “At that time, Mr. Vo Xuan Hong and I, two employees, were closing the crossing to welcome the North-South freight train HBN1 running from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City when suddenly a van of Phu Quy company running from Vinh rushed straight into the crossing and the railway, while the bell was ringing, the signal light was red, the train was coming. Realizing that it was not safe, Mr. Hong and I stopped it, but five to six people on the Phu Quy van jumped out and attacked us. After being punched and hurt, we ran into the guardhouse, but they used rocks to break the window of the guardhouse and then got in the car and ran away.”

After the group of people got into the car and ran away, the gatekeeper recorded the license plate number 37B - 00658 and called the My Ly road unit. Upon receiving the information, the leaders of Nghe Tinh Road Management Company Limited promptly arrived at the scene to make a record and report the incident to Nghi Loc district police for investigation and handling.
It is known that recently in Nghe An, there have been many cases of car drivers assaulting and beating the gatekeepers and deliberately crossing the level crossing, ignoring the signals and orders of the gatekeepers. A typical case is the case of Nguyen Van Son, a resident of Dien Chau district, who beat two gatekeepers of Yen Ly on July 15, 2012. Although the case was tried by the Dien Chau district People's Court on December 27, 2012, the execution of the sentence has not yet been carried out. This is also one of the reasons why the violation has become a system. It is recommended that the authorities investigate and handle the case of resisting law enforcement officers and destroying property.
