Why are instant noodles difficult to digest?
Everyone knows instant noodles are harmful to health, but not many people know exactly how harmful they are.
And even though you know some of the harmful effects of instant noodles, you may still not really understand how harmful they are?
Please read the information below carefully, published by Dr. Braden Kuo, Massachusetts General Hospital (USA), after conducting a research project on instant noodles. Hopefully you will not be too shocked.
Dr. Braden Kuo's research was based on a small experiment to understand the digestion process of instant noodles in the stomach. The doctor placed a small camera into the stomach to see what happened after a person ate instant noodles.
According to the results, instant noodles take a long time to digest after being put into the stomach. After 2 hours, under the stomach's hard work, the noodles are still almost intact.
Meanwhile, with a similar amount of fresh noodles put into the stomach, after only 2 hours the stomach completes its job of crushing and digesting them all.

Have you ever wondered why instant noodles are so difficult to digest?
One thing is for sure, instant noodles are hard to digest, not simply because of the ingredients used to make them. The reason instant noodles are so "stubborn" is because they contain the toxic preservative TBHQ (tertiary-butyl hydroquinone).
According to Livestrong.com, TBHQ is a preservative commonly used in some processed foods such as fried chicken fillets, peanut butter cookies, Kellogg's cookies, frozen pizza...
TBHQ is classified as a synthetic antioxidant, which can extend the shelf life of high-fat processed foods.
The US Food and Drug Administration allows the use of very small amounts of only 0.02% TBHQ in total oils. Consuming 5g of TBHQ has been considered potentially lethal.
However, when we eat instant noodles and keep them in our stomach for more than 2 hours, we also keep the toxic chemical TBHQ in our stomach and give it enough time to penetrate into our body.
That's scary!
What diseases can instant noodles cause?
Malnutrition:
Although instant noodles are high in fat and starch, the feeling of fullness they provide is mainly due to the carbohydrates they contain. That is, you hardly absorb any nutrients from instant noodles, even if you eat them until you are full.
Moreover, eating too much instant noodles can cause nutritional imbalance because noodles do not contain fiber, vitamins, protein, minerals...
Cardiovascular disease
Regularly eating instant noodles puts you at higher risk of cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and stroke than normal.
The reason lies in the fat content in most instant noodles. This type of fat is trans fat and saturated fat which are extremely harmful to health.
Kidney damage, bone damage
Instant noodles contain a lot of salt, not only in the seasoning packet but also in each noodle. This amount of salt will damage the health of the kidneys and can cause kidney stones.
In addition, the phosphate used to flavor noodles is also the cause of osteoporosis, bone loss, affecting your skeletal and dental systems.
Cancer
Too many additives in instant noodles such as food coloring, salt, saturated fat... are agents that cause cancer. So you should really consider when eating a lot of instant noodles.
