Natural remedies for diabetes
According to research results, a compound prepared from hibiscus flowers can restore insulin sensitivity and help control diabetes. Ferulic acid, one of the polyphenols found in hibiscus flowers, acts as a substance that can treat diabetes.
Prevent urinary tract infections
A study published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine found that the antifungal and antibacterial properties of hibiscus flowers are effective against the fungus Candica albicans. The nutrients in hibiscus flowers eliminate harmful bacteria in the urinary tract and reduce urinary tract infections. The flavonoids in hibiscus tea also help prevent the growth of E. coli bacteria.
