Appeal of the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province on the campaign to support the "Fund for the Poor" 2013

Dear: Compatriots, comrades and soldiers of the province!

After more than 10 years of implementing the "Day for the Poor" Campaign in our province, the "Fund for the Poor" has mobilized more than 350 billion VND to help rebuild and repair more than 30,000 houses for the poor and save tens of thousands of households from hunger, while also helping the poor with means of production, medicine, and helping poor students go to school...

In 2012, due to the impact of floods causing great damage to production and business, in addition to the impact of the world economic recession, along with price fluctuations, people's lives encountered many difficulties, so the poverty rate of our province is currently 15.6%; in which there are still tens of thousands of households living in difficult and deprived conditions in dire need of help.

Sharing difficulties and helping the poor are the sentiments, ethics and traditions of the Vietnamese people, and the responsibility of the whole society. To continue implementing the Campaign "Day for the Poor" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and at the same time implementing the letter of the Prime Minister and the letter of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province calling on the business community and philanthropists to continue promoting activities to help the poor and build "Great Unity" houses. I earnestly call on all sectors, levels, agencies, organizations, units, businesses, philanthropists, all classes of people in the province, Nghe An people living in the country and abroad, to reduce their spending to contribute to the province's "Fund for the Poor", to share the burden with the poor, helping them have the conditions to rise up, stabilize their lives, and integrate into the community.
