Call for 'All people to unite and make efforts to prevent and fight Covid-19'

Dear compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide and our compatriots abroad,

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, with high political determination, our entire Party, people and army have acted resolutely, fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy", initially achieving very important results. Under the leadership of the Party, the State, the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the participation of all levels, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations, especially the strength of solidarity, consensus and joint efforts of the entire people, we have both basically controlled the pandemic and fulfilled socio-economic development tasks, contributing to the successful organization of the 12th National Congress of the Party and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, which has been highly appreciated by the people of the whole country and the international community.

However, the epidemic is still very complicated, spreading rapidly and very dangerously and unpredictably. From April 27, 2021 to now, the fourth outbreak has occurred in 30 provinces and cities, infecting industrial zones, especially in the provinces and cities: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Da Nang city, Hanoi city... According to incomplete statistics, by the morning of May 27, 2021, there were 3,051 cases of Covid-19 infection being treated, tens of thousands of F1, F2 cases, hundreds of thousands of people had to be quarantined, some places had to be locked down and socially distanced. Frontline forces such as the health sector, the army, the police, the community Covid-19 team, volunteers... are having to work hard, facing difficulties and dangers day and night.

There are many examples of dedicated, selfless, and selfless work for the mission, touching people's hearts, and gaining the admiration and gratitude of the whole society. Our Party and State are actively preparing in all aspects for mass vaccination to prevent disease for the people.

- In that situation, continuing to implement the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat; Directive of the Government, the Prime Minister; practically responding to the Call of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on March 30, 2020, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front calls for:

One is,Agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide, foreigners working and living in Vietnam should raise their awareness, solidarity, responsibility to the community, strictly comply with regulations of the Government, the health sector and localities and units in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. All people are united, join hands for their own health and that of the community, make the highest effort to keep: Safe residential areas, safe communes, safe districts, safe provinces, safe the whole country.

Second,Promoting the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of mutual love and support of the nation, organizations, businesses, collectives, individuals, our compatriots at home and abroad... continue to join hands to contribute, provide material and spiritual support to support the work of disease prevention and control. Focus mainly on the following contents: funding to purchase vaccines, ventilators and medical equipment; support for quarantine areas, treatment of seriously ill patients, and encouragement of frontline forces in disease prevention and control...

The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front would like to, on behalf of the people of the whole country, especially in areas where the epidemic is occurring, express our gratitude for the generosity and noble acts of organizations, businesses, individuals... who have supported the material and spiritual work of epidemic prevention and control. We are committed to fully synthesizing all donations, being transparent, using them for the right purposes, and achieving practical results.

With the spirit of great solidarity, millions of people as one, unifying will and action, joining hands, promoting the intelligence, creativity, and strong will of the Vietnamese people, we will definitely defeat the epidemic, protect the health and safety of the community, continue to develop the economy - society, bring prosperity and happiness to the people.
