We arrived at Battalion 4, Military School of Military Region 4 in the early days of April, starting a class at the unit. The loud shout of Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Tuan, the Platoon Leader, all the students of the Commune and Ward College class acted quickly and urgently in order. The precise "attention" movement began a new class of the Corps Regulations. The 34 students of the Commune and Ward College class were outstanding young men selected to be trained as core military cadres for the base.

Talking to us, Major Nguyen Dinh Thang - Battalion Commander of Battalion 4, said: This is the first time we have trained students from communes and wards. The majority of them come from farmers, a few comrades are deputy commune leaders, a few have served in the army, nearly 50% are party members, sent by the locality to study. From the very first day, we have done a good job of preparing from barracks to facilities, to training cadres at all levels, and nurturing soldiers.

After only six months of training, the students performed the movements accurately and decisively. Each person took turns as a team leader, squad leader to maintain and practice, correct the practice, everyone attentively practiced the content that had been taught. Student Tran Manh Tien confided: I am from Can Loc, Ha Tinh, my family is very poor, my parents are farmers, when I was sent to study by the commune, I was encouraged by my family so I was very determined. The first time I entered the army and it was a military school, I was overwhelmed but with the encouragement and help of the commanders in the unit, I did not spare time to study hard day and night, even on cold winter nights I still took the time to study extra hours, and after 7 exams and tests, I got excellent results. I will try my best to complete the tasks assigned by the locality after 3 years of graduation. Through research, we learned that Tien's unit had 7 exams and tests in all subjects, the results of all subjects were over 90% good and excellent.

Saying goodbye to the Commune and Ward College class, we went to the College Interconnection class studying A2 tactics with a high score of 50. This is a class that has completed intermediate level at Provincial Military Schools, the study time at the school is 2 years. Lieutenant Nguyen Trung Dung, the platoon leader, confided: in order for students to grasp the content, in addition to the class time of the teachers, the framework cadres must uphold their role and responsibility, act as good teaching assistants for the teachers, review closely, correct each movement, help students have comprehensive knowledge, the most difficult thing about studying A2 tactics is that students must grasp and handle well the situations that may arise. Our advantage is that students have been equipped with basic knowledge, have had certain working time at the commune and ward bases. 100% are party members, the students have different ages, the oldest was born in 1975, the youngest was born in 1989, but in our group we are always united, help each other, determined to excellently complete the course tasks, strive to graduate with 100% good and excellent results.

With the initial results that the College and Inter-College classes at commune and ward levels have achieved, it is hoped that the square star soldiers will become core cadres of communes, wards and towns of localities in the Military Region's Armed Forces.
