Chau Thang Primary School is located close to the banks of the Hieu River. Therefore, when there is heavy rain and the river rises, the school will be deeply submerged in floodwater. From 2023 to now, Chau Thang Primary School has been flooded 3 times and each time was more severe than the last. Old water stains after each flood are still clearly visible on many walls of the school. Teacher Trinh Thi Hang - Principal of the school shared: After each flood, we mobilize all resources to overcome the damage. But this time, I think all options are difficult to implement. To ensure long-term safety, the school needs to move to another location to avoid floods and ensure safety. Photo: Tien Hung
