(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of November 27, at Hamlet 7, Nam Tan Commune (Nam Dan), Engineering Brigade 414 (Military Region 4) coordinated with local authorities to hand over a gratitude house to Second Lieutenant Tran Dang Trong.
Lieutenant Tran Dang Trong, of Company 3, Battalion 25, is the son of martyr Tran Hong Phong, who died while on an international mission in Cambodia in 1988. Currently, comrade Trong's family's economy is facing many difficulties, the main source of income depends on Trong's salary, while his wife is unemployed, his elderly mother is often sick, and the level 4 house is now in such a state of disrepair that he cannot afford to repair or rebuild it himself.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Oanh - Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 414 (3rd from left) presents the key to the gratitude house to the family of Lieutenant Tran Dang Trong.
The house of gratitude was given to Comrade Trong with a flat roof, 80 m2 wide, with a total investment of nearly 200 million VND, of which Brigade 414 allocated 60 million VND from the unit's fund, supported more than 700 working days of construction along with a set of tables and chairs worth 13 million VND, the rest was contributed by family, friends, relatives and neighbors. After more than 2 months of construction, the house has been completed, ensuring quality, technique and aesthetics, and handed over to the family 16 days ahead of schedule.
This is a meaningful activity of Brigade 414, aiming to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22), contributing to encouraging and sharing disadvantages and losses and helping families overcome long-standing housing difficulties.
